Bridal Savoir Faire takes place on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Cypress Meadows Plantation Wedding & Event Center from 3-6 PM and producers are now casting models.  This year's runway show is sponsored by Ann's Bridal in Searcy and will also showcase several local designers including fashion labels Deco Rose Couture, N’cholé Féroce, Richie Clark Clothing, LOVE R.O.C.S., AnJanell Fashion, Chavon Shree and designer Nichelle Terry.  The show will feature bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses and men's tuxedo and groom suit styles.

No extended hours at post offices on tax night

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (USPS) – Millions of Americans wait until the last minute to file their tax returns. This year is no different. Filers have until 12 midnight on Tuesday, April 15 to drop off their completed returns. The Postal Service will not be adding any additional window hours or collection times.

Officer in Charge Paula McDore is urging customers to be aware of this change. "The latest window hours and collection time is 8:00 p.m. at the Little Rock Processing & Distribution Center located at 4700 E. McCain, North Little Rock."

"Customers can be assured all mail dropped in the blue collection boxes at the Processing & Distribution Center location until 8 p.m. will receive an April 15 postmark. Although the deadline is Tuesday April 15, customers are urged to drop off returns as early as possible," says McDore.

College of Business develops Arkansas Tech Business Index

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (Tech)--Organizations and individuals interested in tracking economic trends in the State of Arkansas have a new resource courtesy of the Arkansas Tech University College of Business.

The Arkansas Tech Business Index (ATBI) is a comprehensive measure that will provide a snapshot of economic activity around the Natural State. The ATBI encompasses a labor index, housing market index, construction index and retail sales index.

The April 2014 release of the ATBI, which is available at www.atu.edu/atbi, includes monthly data from 2009-2013 for 16 municipalities across Arkansas. The website provides interested parties access to the data used to develop the ATBI. The index will be updated on a monthly basis and analysis will be provided each quarter.

Russellville, AR (PP) – Pediatrics Plus recently announced plans to establish a new, larger, state of the art facility in order to expand their services. Pediatrics Plus is undergoing a four million dollar acquisition and renovation of the former Hog Wild Fun Center, a 23,000 square foot space. Additionally, Pediatrics Plus will provide 50 new job opportunities for residents of the River Valley community, which are expected to contribute over two million dollars annually to the local economy.

Free adult digital literacy classes scheduled across 26 counties

LITTLE ROCK, Ark (ACCG) – Connect Arkansas, a project of Arkansas Capital Corporation, today announced that more than 80 free adult digital literacy classes will be held at libraries across 26 Arkansas counties.

The Adult Digital Literacy Program provides digital literacy training on a wide range of computer and technology topics ranging from Internet safety and security to setting up an email address. In addition to answering questions about computers and the Internet, there are also specific courses offered such as "Setting up an Email Account," "Computer Basics," "Computer Basics 2," "How to Use Your Email Account Effectively," and "An Introduction to Tablet Computers."

Classes are currently scheduled for the following counties: Boone, Bradley, Chicot, Clark, Crawford, Crittenden, Cross, Desha, Faulkner, Grant, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Miller, Monroe, Nevada, Newton, Pike, Poinsett, Pope, Searcy, and Woodruff.
