Update: Man wanted in two Russellville home invasions arrested

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) – A man wanted in two Russellville home invasions has been located and arrested.

According to Public Information Officer Drew Latch, Christopher Hamilton has been arrested by the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office. He has been charged with two counts of felony theft, two counts of kidnapping, and two counts of aggravated robbery.

On Tuesday, police originally identified Hamilton as a person of interest in this case.

Latch said the home invasions took place on the 300 block of South Boston and the 1400 block of North Boston around 4 a.m. Tuesday. Hamilton apparently entered both homes with a weapon while the residents were there and stole items from the homes in addition to two separate vehicles.

The Pope County Sheriff's Office said that Hamilton reportedly later stopped a green 1997 Ford Escort and robbed the driver at gunpoint later around 7 a.m.
