RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. -- Officers from the Arkansas State Police working on an alleged sexual assault case at Arkansas Tech University have released a detailed description of the suspect.

The description provided by Arkansas State Police on Friday, Nov. 18, indicates that the suspect is an African-American male in his early-to-mid 20s. He is believed to be between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-3 in height and between 170 and 180 pounds in weight.

According to Arkansas State Police, the suspect has multiple tattoos including one on his neck with possible cursive writing on it. Officers also report that the suspect has at least one pierced ear.

An alleged victim and a witness filed statements concerning the alleged sexual assault with the Arkansas Tech University Office of Public Safety on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

The alleged assault took place that afternoon in the men’s locker room at the Hull Physical Education Building. According to statements from the alleged male victim and a male witness filed at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, the male suspect put his hand down the front of the alleged victim’s pants and groped him.

Arkansas Tech President Dr. Robert C. Brown requested that the Arkansas Tech Office of Public Safety seek assistance from the Arkansas State Police during its investigation. That request was made at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday and officers from the Arkansas State Police arrived on campus Thursday morning.
