LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - With the fourth of July fast approaching, it would be good to know where in central Arkansas you can light your fireworks.

Here are some of the cities where you can and can't shoot off your pyrotechnics:

Shakespeare performance to return to Winthrop Rockefeller Institute

PETIT JEAN MOUNTAIN, Ark. — This summer, all of the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute’s front lawn will be a stage.

On Saturday, June 20, the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre will enact an outdoor performance of As You Like It at the Institute. The performance, which will be free and open to the public, will include the full plot of As You Like It abridged into a family-friendly version. While outdoor chairs will be set up at the Institute for the upcoming event, onlookers will also be able to utilize blanket space on the lawn depending on their preferences. The River Rock Grill will provide food for purchase.

“The 2014 performance of A Comedy of Errors was a big success,” said Dr. Marta Loyd, executive director of the Institute. “We are proud to offer such an exceptional experience to the residents of Petit Jean Mountain, Morrilton and the rest of the Arkansas River valley.”

Free summer movie lineup in Heber Springs

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - Free summer movie event 'A Night Under the Stars' begins June 20. 

Teen Recruiters has teamed up with Swank Motion Pictures and local businesses to provide a free movie watching experience at Spring Park in downtown Heber Springs. 

The 2015 lineup includes:

Saturday, June 20- Spare Parts (PG-13)

Saturday, July 11- Paddington (PG)

Saturday, August 22 - Captain America The Winter Solider (PG-13)

Pre-movie events will begin at 7 p.m. and films will begin at dusk. 

Both the pre-movie events and the film showings are free and open for anyone to attend.

Geocaching for Memorial Day weekend

ROGERS, Ark. (KTHV) - One holiday is helping Arkansans explore new areas within the Hobbs State Park in Rogers. 

As part of celebrating Memorial Day, the Hobbs State Park is hosting a geocaching event to help get people out and enjoy the wilderness. The event will be held on Saturday, May 23. 

Those who wish to be a part of the activity are asked to register between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at the Hobbs State Park visitor center. It is $10 a group. Everyone will have until 3:30 p.m. to find as many caches as they can and return them to the visitor center.

Championship boat races on Lake Ludwig

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - The National Boat Racing Society is hosting the North/South Shootout Championship at Lake Ludwig in Clarksville on Saturday and Sunday. 

The championship boat races will feature the competition "stock and modified outboard hydroplane and runabout racing." There will be test racing Friday, May 15 from noon until 5 p.m. Racing will take place on Saturday, May 16 at 9 a.m. and will last until 5 p.m., and then again on Sunday from noon until 5 p.m.

A portion of the winnings will be donated to a local charity, M.A.C. Industries. Admission is free to the public. There will be vendors set up with food and drinks, and personal lawn chairs are encouraged.

Renewal Ranch "Rally for Recovery"

CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - A Conway non-profit organization, Renewal Ranch, is hosting a 'Rally for Recovery' event inviting the community to stand against what addiction can do to our society and families. 

On Friday, May 22 crowds of people will join together at the Conway Expo Center to join the fight against addiction and drug and alcohol abuse.

Rehabilitation facility Renewal Ranch is a faith based organization for adult men 21 years of age or older and is located at 75 Lake Drive in Houston, Ark. The organization includes 15 different pastors and teachers from all over central Arkansas who teach these men about the damage of addiction.

Tickets are being sold for $20 at the North Branch of First Security Bank and the Central Baptist Church in Conway. Patron tables, which include six tickets, are for sale at $250.  There will be catfish and other foods being served.
