AHTD: Lanes will temporarily close on I-40 through Pope County

LITTLE ROCK (2-21) – Inspections will require lane closures on Interstate 40 east and west of Russellville, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Two crews will be inspecting pavement markers along Interstate 40. The work will extend from the Johnson/Franklin County line to exit 125 in Faulkner County. The work will require very short rolling lane closures affecting the outside lanes of eastbound and westbound traffic.

The lane closures will be Monday, February 24th through Friday, February 28th, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using trucks with flashing lights and warning signs.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ArkansasHighways.com. You can also follow us on Twitter @AHTD.
