RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- Police have confirmed that all four of the people inside the plane that crashed in Pope County on Thursday are dead.

Police in Russellville confirmed to THV11 that the plane crash occurred around 8 a.m. Thursday near Van Horne Road on Crow Mountain.  The small aircraft was apparently taking off from the Russellville Airport when it crashed into the yard of a home off Van Horn Road.

"Yeah, they crashed through the wall and everything. It's right on the driveway. You can see where they come through the trees and hit the side of the hill but it's on fire," said Pope County Coroner Kevin Burnham.

"It's just tragic. And my prayers, along with everybody, is with the families and are going to be with the families. We're going to stand there and be in support of them," said Sheriff Shane Jones.

PCSO also said that the bodies will be taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for positive identification. Names will not be released until the victims' families have been notified.
