Hayes crowned Miss Arkansas Tech University 2013

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (February 22, 2013)--Kristen Hayes of  Ozark was crowned the 58th Miss Tech on Friday night during the 2013 Miss Arkansas Tech University Scholarship Pageant at Witherspoon Auditorium.

Daughter of Sheryl and Kevin Shepherd, Hayes won the Nona Dirksmeyer Memorial Talent Award, the Sandi Hodges Memorial Dance Award and the lifestyle and fitness swimsuit competition during Friday’s pageant.

Hayes competed in last year’s Miss Tech Pageant and finished as fourth runner-up. This time around it was the 2012 Miss Arkansas Tech University --- Claire Hodgson of Russellville --- placing the crown on Hayes’ head. 

“I wasn’t expecting it at all,” said Hayes. “It’s going to be an awesome experience. I am so excited and so ready. I absolutely love Tech and I am honored to be able to represent our university. I fell in love with Tech the first day I set foot on campus.”

Campbell returns as fashion show producer for Conway bridal event

Brandon D. Campbell, Little Rock Fashion Week's founder and executive producer, will produce the fashion show at the 2013 Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Conway Bridal Show on Sunday February 24, 2013 at the Conway Expo Center and Fairgrounds, located at 2505 East Oak St. in Conway, Ark. Presented by the River Valley and Ozark Edition, the Conway bridal show is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The fashion show is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The fashion show will star the high fashion runway models, of all ages and sizes, from Oneofakind Talent Inc. modeling agency and past Little Rock Fashion Week presentations. LRFW's 2012 and 2011 Models of the Year Hannah Daniel, of Mabelvale, Ark and Larry Scruggs, of Pine Bluff, Ark are headlining the talented group. Models will wear clothes from David’s Bridal, Dillard’s, J.R. Hobby Horse, First Impressions, and Rendezvous Formal Wear.

Tickets for the 2013 Conway Bridal Show are $5 at the door.

LRFW's Campbell to produce winter bridal fashion shows

Brandon D. Campbell, Little Rock Fashion Week's founder and executive producer, is the produce for the runway fashion show at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette 2013 Bridal Show on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. The bridal show is from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. There are two runway fashion shows - 2 pm and 4:30 p.m.

The fashion show will star the high fashion runway models, of all ages and sizes, from Oneofakind Talent Inc. modeling agency and past Little Rock Fashion Week presentations. Little Rock, Ark. - Brandon D. Campbell, founder of Little Rock Fashion Week and senior director of Oneofakind Talent Inc., is the guest speaker at "Breaking Into the Industry" workshop in Shreveport, La. Campbell, a veteran entertainment producer for companies such as E! Entertainment and World Wrestling Entertainment, joins the event's host and model Joslyn Pennywell, an America's Next Top Model Cycle 11 contestant, and Actor JC Jones, who've had roles in the hit TV show 'Glee' and box office smash 'The Social Network.'

The Academy Award-winning series “Downton Abbey” provides viewers with a special behind-the-scenes episode, “Downton Abbey Revisited,” Sunday, Nov. 25, at 8 p.m. on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN). The program will repeat at 9:30 p.m.
