More details released on Pope Co. plane crash

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - Additional details were released on Wednesday regarding what may have caused a plane crash just outside of Russellville in late October.

The National Transportation Safety Board announced that the cause of the crash was due to the limited visibility. The large amount of fog that morning caused the plane to crash after hitting some tree tops shortly after takeoff from the Russellville Regional Airport on October 29.

All four passengers, including the pilot, were killed in the crash. Victims were identified as Robert and Wes Harris along with their sister Julie Harris Lefevre and the pilot Phillip Cowger.
